﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" version="2.0"><channel><ttl>60</ttl><title>Just Another Day with Scott Powell</title><link>http://blog.scottpowellonline.com</link><language>en</language><copyright>copyright 2008  Scott Powell</copyright><itunes:subtitle>Morning Trivia Question on 100.7 KMZU</itunes:subtitle><itunes:author>scottp</itunes:author><itunes:summary>Television Trivia</itunes:summary><description>Television Trivia</description><itunes:owner><itunes:name>scottp</itunes:name><itunes:email>scottp@scottpowellonline.com</itunes:email></itunes:owner><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:category text="Society &amp; Culture"><itunes:category text="Personal Journals" /></itunes:category><item><title>And The Thunder Rolls!</title><link>http://blog.scottpowellonline.com/2008/07/08/and-the-thunder-rolls.aspx</link><dc:creator>scottp</dc:creator><description>And the rain is coming down.&lt;BR&gt;A good time to sit down and catch up on a lot of things.&amp;nbsp; It is amazing to me that a man who is supposed to have so much time on his hands can't seem to get anything done like entering a simple blog post!&amp;nbsp; but time just slips away each day faster and faster.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Reflecting back on the past couple of days.&amp;nbsp; The 4th of July Holiday weekend was one of the best ever!&amp;nbsp; Krista made it in town late Thursday evening.&amp;nbsp; Somehow managed to keep her here through Monday morning.&amp;nbsp; Her time in Carrollton is usually restricted, much like when I'm in Blue Springs.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;With her help and motivation we spent time&amp;nbsp; much of the time sprucing up the Shack I call home.&amp;nbsp; Krista worked her magic planting flowers and maintaining what was already in the ground.&amp;nbsp; I helped when I could &lt;img src="http://blog.scottpowellonline.com/emoticons/wink.png" border="0" /&gt;&amp;nbsp; She has the place looking like someone actually lives in it!&amp;nbsp; Also with her in the house.....I was fed "real" food!&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;We took in the Bellamy Brothers concert at the City Park on Saturday.&amp;nbsp; The Boys still have it!&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;This week is the beginning of All Stars for Shelby and Shariden.&amp;nbsp; An exciting time for both.&amp;nbsp; Especially&amp;nbsp; For Shariden.&amp;nbsp; It's her first year to be selected.&amp;nbsp; Congratulations ladies....I'm very proud of you, your hard work has paid off.&amp;nbsp; Here are the results from the first round.&amp;nbsp; Shariden and her team came out on the losing end with the final score 19-2.&amp;nbsp; Shariden pitched the whole game.&amp;nbsp; They were up against a strong hitting team.&amp;nbsp; There will be a rematch tomorrow evening.&amp;nbsp; Shelby and her team on the other hand had a winning evening 10 to 5.&amp;nbsp; Shelby played third base and managed to pull down two line drives!&amp;nbsp; She will play again on Wednesday as well.&amp;nbsp; We will see what&amp;nbsp; happens then.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;a note from Sharidens game.&amp;nbsp; After it was over, I was standing behind the bleachers straightening out my back, when a gentleman from the other team walked by.&amp;nbsp; He commented on how the girls had a rough go of it.&amp;nbsp; I agreed with him.&amp;nbsp; He then followed up with...."thats quite a little pitcher you guys have".&amp;nbsp; I just smiled and said "that's my daughter"! Congratz to long time listener Dave Jones of Liberty!&lt;BR&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.scottpowellonline.com/answers.html"&gt;THE ANSWER&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;I hate having to take&amp;nbsp; vacation days to enjoy a holiday weekend!&amp;nbsp; But in this business that's the way it is a lot of the time!!!!!&amp;nbsp; There are ways around it, but try to convince others of it!&amp;nbsp; The last three days away from the station gave me a taste (again) of what it's like to live with a Monday thru Friday job.....the opportunity to enjoy the weekend at home with your loved ones, and puttering.&amp;nbsp; Yes I said puttering.&amp;nbsp; We were not on a rigid schedule this weekend by any means!&amp;nbsp; I was able to catch up on some needed rest.&amp;nbsp; Able to spend a little more time on the "Blue Springs House" project.&amp;nbsp; But most importantly The whole time spent with KCM!&amp;nbsp; To say the least, she survived the three days with me at her every turn &lt;img src="http://blog.scottpowellonline.com/emoticons/smile.png" border="0" /&gt;&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;The Highlight had to be the evening spent on the blanket drinking wine on the grassy lawn of the Liberty Memorial.&amp;nbsp; It's where we were situated for the Celebration at the Station.&amp;nbsp; The Best Year Ever in my eyes for this event!&amp;nbsp; This is becoming one of our "Don't miss events" of the year!
