THE ANSWER
I hate having to take vacation days to enjoy a holiday weekend! But in this business that's the way it is a lot of the time!!!!! There are ways around it, but try to convince others of it! The last three days away from the station gave me a taste (again) of what it's like to live with a Monday thru Friday job.....the opportunity to enjoy the weekend at home with your loved ones, and puttering. Yes I said puttering. We were not on a rigid schedule this weekend by any means! I was able to catch up on some needed rest. Able to spend a little more time on the "Blue Springs House" project. But most importantly The whole time spent with KCM! To say the least, she survived the three days with me at her every turn
The Highlight had to be the evening spent on the blanket drinking wine on the grassy lawn of the Liberty Memorial. It's where we were situated for the Celebration at the Station. The Best Year Ever in my eyes for this event! This is becoming one of our "Don't miss events" of the year! If you were not in attendance here is a brief explanation of what you missed....http://www.celebrationatthestation.com/
We have great memories of Union Station, and to see it as a backdrop for this wonderful evening is just incredible
It would be great to see you all there next year!
It's a short week together around the radio, so lets make the most of it
talk to ya in the morning!
