The question:

Henry Ford's first gasoline-powered vehicle was dubbed what name?

The Answer

Several months ago on our way to church we came across an accident involving a motorcycle.  We would later find out how bad.  Anyway, I came across a public service announcement at the station for a benefit for the motorcyclist involved, and also in the Blue Springs Christian Church bulletin.

The Motorcyclist was Mark J. Holcombe, and the benefit was Saturday Evening (4/5/08) at the Grain Valley Community Center.  We made the event part of our weekend plans.  It was very heart warming to see such a wonderful turn out for such a great cause!

We have never met Mr. Holcombe, but after hearing of his struggle the past couple of months,  It was an awesome site to see him stand up from his wheel chair with the help of friends.  Mark you are a very lucky man to have so many individuals AND a Community that care So Much!  Our families wish you the best as you travel the road to recovery.

Also a note to Bad Boys Barbecue.......The brisket was Outstanding!

if you would like to help:
A fund, under Holcombe's name, has been set up at Blue Ridge Bank. Send contributions to the Mark J. Holcombe Benefit Fund at the bank, at 606 S.W. Parkwood Dr., Blue Springs, Mo. 64014.

Well, to wrap it up for the day how about an unsolicited testimonial for the website from caller Steve of Purdin/Marceline
